Star-Telegram says Chandler Rogers led Mansfield Lake Ridge to a win over Prosper with over 200 passing and rushing combined with 2 tds.  Is that right or are they confusing him with Jason Bean on the roster.

Him and Bean are splitting the lead QB spot..

What is a lead QB?  Also, did he split time last year as well?

Who starts, Bean or Rogers?  From the stats and scoring in the two games' box scores so far, it looks like Rogers is starting.

It also looks like that school is a run first offense.  Bean has thrown 11 times in two games; Rogers 21.

I thought we were running an Air Raid offense.  If so, why aren't we recruiting a QB who throws more than five or six passes per game.

Did our coaches know they were offering a scholarship to a QB who doesn't start before they offered, and who isn't in an Air Raid offense?

Or, did they just not do their homework on this one?

Seems like Rodgers is the 1st one to take snaps.... They are aware, I would assume along with the other schools that offered him such as LAT, SMU, CSU.. Its likely not a worry about the offense since he would likely come in and RS next year with us having Pearson, Fine, Izzy, Quinn back plus Martin as well.

The idea this stafff doesn't do homework (scout and evaluate) on recruits is the DUMBEST thing that can be said. This staff isn't Mac or RV that is just hanging in since it's the last stop, these guys are trying to move up.. You find guys who can develop in your system and develop as a individual as well. Bean showed traits to every school that offered..

Allegedly.

If they are both taking snaps, then they are splitting it...  they are both playing with the 1st team as well..

Bean doesn't have anywhere close to the total yards, rushes, or passes as Rogers.  So, Rogers must start and play the majority of the game.  We've offered a scholarship to a guy who can't win the job at his own high school.  Pull his offer and give it to Rogers, the starter.

Or, better yet, hold it for a QB whose school does run an Air Raid or Spread offense...and, who is actually starting.

1.  Rogers is a junior.

2.  Did you see Bean's stats from last year?

It appears they are running a different system.

Bean had the best offer list of ANY QB unt has gotten in YEARS!

Also, if you're worried about getting a QB that fits the "Air-Raid", you may wanna do your own research because Martin is that QB...

Martin's had two choices:  us or Texas A&M-Commerce.  Hundreds of FBS and FCS coaching staffs said, "No, thanks" to offering Martin a scholarship.

Watch the numbers he puts up this year.
