After week one UNT is #4 in total offense behind Missouri (defeated Missouri State - FCS - 72-43), Oregon (defeated Southern Utah - FCS - 77-21), and Oklahoma (defeated UTEP - FBS - 56-7).  I know it is only week one but I will take a top 5 ranking above teams like Clemson (Kent State), Ohio State (Indiana), USC (Western Michigan), Baylor (loss to Liberty) for the week!

This is a good omen, particularly since we played so many guys. However, a little voice in my head repeated a little saying that my father occasionally uttered at times like this..."The dog that shits FAST, don't shit LONG!".

I pray that the Mean Green are just getting started this year.

Don't look back.  You can never look back.

Need to focus on SMU.

I also think that Littrell's post game press conference was pretty telling. He pretty much said vertbatim that they ran extremely vanilla schemes both offensively and defensively with little to no wrinkles. Will be interesting if we pull anything out of the hat a la Southern Miss last season.

This is something that UNT coaches and the UNTGridiron, maybe even the northtexaseage/gmg.com twitter needs to be putting for recruits to see because of the # of the recruits that follow them...

Yes its 1 week, but put this out there and let the offensive kids know UNT can move it and let the defensive kids know as well that they will have the backing of a powerful offense (even it was vs Lamar.)

Let us hope, I think it was a solid game in terms of not showing anything getting the jitters out of the system and letting guys play as much as possible to get comfy..

Last year, we had multiple bone-head plays that hurt us vs SMU that cost us, if we have been 4-5 plays its a totally different game.. Lets hope that it happens this upcoming weekend
