A nice secondary benefit of playing the game

I'm totally ok with cancelling if that's what decided. The Lamar kids are dealing with a lot. If we do play though, selfishly speaking, it is a great opportunity for our fans to come together and give a great gesture recognizing the Cardinals and the coastal community. I've felt for a long time that our fan base badly needs things to rally around to develop its identity. We are a hodgepodge of personalities and while Denton's vibe is thick...the identity of our sports following is hard to capture. Being the middle class group we are, we've got folks with great class and we've also got our fair share of buffoons....I'd love to see the Apogee crowd give a lot of love and respect to the Cards. That kind of stuff, silly as it sounds, brings our fans together for a common purpose.

Likely too late to put together but I will tweet WB to see if it's possible to have a donation center setup in the parking lot or at a gate somewhere...any other ideas for ways we as a fan base can take advantage of the game to help?

Good idea, tmjerm. I messaged (Tweet) Wren suggesting an arm band or some such but, no answer yet. I understand he doesn't anxiously check for messages from me and getting something together at this late date would be a challenge.

Thanks! Yeah at this point it might be grass rootsy so I msgd my ol' fraternity to see what they can do to organize something....even a flatbed trailer load would be nice. Typically I tailgate all day but I'm not able to this week. If anyone is willing to open up their tailgate as a receiving zone if we can find a trailer and someone willing to transport to Beaumont, that'd be awesome.

I know they have bins set up in the union by the Wells Fargo, but I would think they will have something for donations at the game. It maybe a last minute announcement though, so you could bring stuff and then if nothing at the game go to the union and donate.
