Is the Lamare game happening this week?

I know and understand it is likely not everybodies first priority given what is going on in south Texas, but well, this IS a UNT sports site. So... does anybody have any information on whether the weather down there is likely to keep the game from taking place on schedule.

I went to the football luncheon today and Wren said its a go.

Lamar needs to get on the road to Denton now.  Harvey is circling back and is aiming at Beaumont-Port Arthur.  More rain.

I was told at luncheon that for financial reasons, Lamar couldn't make the trip early. Also, transportation may become an issue as buses are being sent to Houston for evacuations. And yes, Wren said it was a go at this point.

They could come stay and practice at Globe Life Park.  I hear it's not being used this week.

That would really be a nice thing to do. Provided it works with Lamars class schedules.

Hell they can practice at UTAs stadium...

or even local high schools lol
