Average Ranking Analysis

Here is a breakdown of where each school stands right now based on average recruit ranking per 247 composite. I'll include their current rank, the average rating, and the differential between their score and our's. 

1) WKU: .8126 (+0.0244)

2)FAU: .8111 (+0.0229)

3) LA Tech: .8096 (+0.0214)

4) Southern Miss: .8095 (+0.0213)

5) UTSA: .8039 (+0.0157)

6) UAB: .7952 (+0.0070)

7) MTSU: .7895 (+0.0013)

8) UNT: .7882 (0)

9) Rice: .7873 (-0.0009)

10) FIU: .7849 (-0.0033)

11) Marshall: .7844 (-0.0038)

12) ODU: .7825 (-0.0057)

13) Charlotte: .7727 (-0.0155)

14) UTEP: .7581 (-0.0301)

Of Note: Both FAU and UTEP only have 1 commit each so they could end up anywhere on this spectrum.

Also Of Note: The 247 composites have now been updated to show Rivals ratings so we have the 6th ranked class right now overall.

I always find it interesting that a lot of the players committed to schools with dedicated(paid) recruiting services have higher ratings on that service than others. Take UTSA. They have a rivals page, almost always, the rivals ranking is higher than the 247 ranking.

Would be interesting to see how our ratings would be skewed if and when we get a Rivals/247 subscription page

Doesn't Rivals ratings factor into 24/7? 

If so, then I would think the ratings are skewed and I would expect that since they are appealing to paid fans

Yes they factor into composite ratings, but 247 has their own ratings. Is you look just below the Stars/Composite rating you'll see 247's own rating without factoring in the others. I'm saying the Rivals rating is typical higher than that, bumping up their composite rating.

I mean when 24/7 does the ratings we see a 3* and then a rating.. That rating is influenced by Rivals right?

This is why it's far more important to look at a players' offer list.   Which coaches think the player can help their team win?

Yes you are correct. 

The .8087 number includes his Rivals rating.

See the 2 Star rating of 76 below? Thats his 247 rating. He wasn't a 3* until they calculated in the Rivals rating.
