Stanford takes it 80 yards on a standard off tackle run play on the very 1st play from scrimmage.  Bad start for Owls.  Stanford 7-0 in like one minute.

Nice to see Stanford shift from a one back shotgun passing game to a power run with two tightends and a fullback with the QB under center....then back again.

 I'm so sick of this one dimensional crap most teams run these days.

One thing to hope, is if they keep being this bad long enough.. then maybe at the end of the year the HC is fired (not hoping for that) and they are playing a lot of the younger guys (hopeful for this). 

Also, wonder how many of those recruits may reconsider rice

Bailiffs record as a HC is a hit-miss roller coaster. I would be curious if any Rice fans lurking around can chime in with their perspective/opinion.

He lost to a Top 25 team!  G5 coaches don't get fired for that in the first game of the season.

People who think NT is hard place to coach, need to look at Rice.  No fan support, relatively small university with probably the highest entrance standards for athletes in the state.  Yes, it is a premier academic institution but that is only a plus with a very small segment of the recruiting base.  Any benefit deriving from being  a member of the SWC is long gone.  

Getting someone that can do any better than Bailiff maybe an impossible task.
