USF vs. San Jose

Watching game right now #19 USF up 21-16.  Closer than I thought.  Weird seeing Charlie Strong on the sidelines.  Man if you thought we had attendance issues.... it's embarrasssing for San Jose.

San Jose State the same issues we have, being a G5 in a market dominated by P5s and being a long-time have not. They are the only school in America that can relate to our situation, having played FBS ball for decades as well.

I'd bet that we would show up big for an opener against a ranked USF, though...at least 25k.

SJSU is fighting against Cal, Stanford, the 49ers, and (until a couple years from now) the Raiders.  

The school itself is a functional school where you go to get a decent job, but don't exactly walk around with your SJSU Alumni sweatshirt on.  

That said, they've fielded some pretty decent baseball and basketball teams, and back in the bad ole' days of the Big West, they'd put up the occasional W. 

But yeah, I grew up in the Bay Area until college, and was barely aware they existed.
