There are some insightful comments there:

So who was Shanbour feuding with?

“I think Quinn had the best spring of any quarterback we had."

That's a pretty major endorsement right there.

That said, I heard SL say the other day that Fine was "special"--you don't leave a special QB on the bench.

So you think SL is really trying to confuse... Lamar?

You know, I think this is the first time anyone has  bothered to interview Shanbour.

Considering our first week opponent, I imagine our coaches have been doing a little peeking ahead to our second week opponent.

And considering that SMU is opening against SFA, I would imagine that their coaches have been doing the same.

I'll trust the staff is handling this appropriately in terms of choosing not to formally name a starter but I sure hope they don't have the team looking past Lamar.  The pain of Portland State still lingers

Per reporting, Fine has this job as locked up as anyone.   No article about right tackle starter not being officially named.

As far as Portland State references, there was a lot more wrong with that team than not getting up for a lower division team.

Potential starting QB? My guess is they're gonna do starting lineup shots for both Fine and Shanbour, and this could just be coincidental, but who knows

They did photos similar to Quinn's for most all of the guys that will contribute this year. Fine had his taken just like this for Quinn, and Fine did other video clips to pump up the crowd

Quinn was just in earlier than most of the other guys..
