Tired  of the mentality that thinks we must choose.

I've thought similar things about a ton of polls on this board.  I just take a step back and ask myself, do they really think that? I.E, does Harry really think we can only pick one?  Of course he thinks about winning both.

It's only hypothetical, and posted on a sports message board for fun discussion.

Soooo . . . are you saying that the poll needs to add "phantom fears" and "kindness that can kill" options?

Or a simple "abstain" might suffice.

Could save a lot of people their overblown "outrage" regarding meaningless topics on an internet message board, while still giving them that satisfying, Pavlovian response-relieving mouse click.

Now that we are in first place in the West and control our own destiny, I am curious if anyone that voted they would rather beat SMU than UTSA has changed their opinion.

Had we beaten SMU and lost to UTSA, we would be a half game back of UTSA right now, tied with UAB and USM for 2nd with a tiebraker against both.

The thing is SMU is better than UTSA so if we beat them we should beat both.

Perception wise no cares about UTSA. The vote was not if we beat the team that keeps out of first place or not vs SMU. I think we should be UTSA every year in every sport I have no respect for that sorry school.

Until we get into a conference with SMU it’s always gonna be UTSA for me.

Not only are they in the same conference, they’re in the same division. All of those games matter more in my eyes.

I went with nUTSAck on this one. I hate SMU more, but a conference win ultimately means more for the team. So I felt that I ultimately had to go with the in conference opponent.

SMU win would have done more for recruiting, me thinks.   (Assuming we go bowling either way.)

More than a spot in a conference championship game?

Louisiana Tech is now the most important game of not only the year but since the 2013 UTSA game.

Picking a pre-season game as most wanted to win, really is a lot different than in the middle of a conference championship race.
