Forbes' list of Top Colleges for 2017

For the second straight year The University of North Texas ranks 500th out of the top 650. Other notables include: 

UTEP: 608     

UTSA: 639     

Liberty: 610   SMU: 98

Let me guess ... most of the top ones are in the North east where the writers and media are and are where they graduated.

The top 50 schools shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone but the Forbes list is different than other lists as it puts more emphasis on ROI metrics. Post Graduate success, student satisfaction, student debt, graduation rate and academic success.  The list has a lot of small private colleges that I've never heard of, that's what was surprising to me. North Texas has moved up from 581 in 2014 to 500 in 2017. That's a positive trend that I hope continues.
