I just hope the staff will be as quick to pull Fine if he goes 61% completion for 237 yards 2 TD's and 3 INT's in the first game of the season.

My guess is they won't. The real question is will this be another McNulty situation or will Littrell actually pull the trigger on Shanbour/Pearson?

Why must it be that Fine isn't good and can't separate from Shanbour?  Why can't it be that Shanbour is much improved and trying to take the reigns from Fine?

Or, and bear with me folks, maybe the coaches know Fine is the #1 but want to keep him hungry.

Nah, must be something deeper and more complex

The coaches know Fine is the Savior.
He will be performing miracles this fall: turning INTs into TDs, removing scales from his WRs eyes, and forgiving his OLs sins.  All the while calling audibles in parable form and carrying his team up the hill of Apogee.  The fans will wave palm branches from the stands shouting, "Touchdown! Glory to the Green & White!"  And by the time Fine graduates, he will have ascended to the heights of the record books and his name will be known across the Earth, and every Mean Green fan's knee shall bow.

Jackson is someone to watch after the top 3 WRs (Rico, Smiley, Guyton) and Darden./Hair-Griffen...

Yes. Jackson, Darden, Hair-Griffin, and White are all interesting to watch at the WR position. We didn't get an opportunity to see these guys last year, but all have some considerable talent, and some should contribute.

A Coach told me that Shanbour is probably the best QB on the team but is often injured.

In a practice right before a Saturday scrimmage this last spring I noticed him throwing less than perfect passes and then shaking his hand after each throw. The next day he said that he had slammed it on a D-lineman's helmet and that there was some initial concern that he might have broken a bone. He said it turned out to only be a bruise and he shook It off by the end of practice. Other than his turf toe that's the only time I've seen him dinged. But then, I'm not around him every day like the coaches.

What we are going to see in this fall's practice is two very competitive QB's with every intention of starting. I don't think you are going to see one significantly separate from the other. Overall our QB situation is better than it's been in a long time.

Now, if they both can stay healthy throughout the season.  I can see the # 2, whoever it is, getting more than a  a few reps during the season,  just to keep the wear and tear down on the starter. It's a long season.
