He was only recruited and signed one year ago as a QB and was listed as a Freshman. The same for Freshman QBs Mestemaker and von Grote. He obviously didn't show as much in practice to get ahead of Mestemaker and thus probably why he's leaving. I'm fine with going after JUCOs and Portal guys with experience that can play now. It's useless to try and develop and keep non-ready players anymore in this mess.- 1

Maybe not. I’ve just seen receivers on the visitor list recently. I hope we can keep all of those young guys because I think they are very solid. -

Yeah, these were my questions too. Coaches aren't going to hit 100% on all players so I'm not going to beat them up too much. But it's pretty surprising that the QB whisperer missed out so badly. They must have recognized that he wasn't the guy and likely encouraged him to move on.- 1
