A rare televised broadcast here in Bowling Green on PBS (WKU) allowed me to see the Mean Green in action for the first time this year. I was suprised at how well coached this team is, and that UNT actually has one very talented player.

Shawnson Johnson is one of the most talented all around players to ever wear a UNT uniform at the pit. He could score even when double teamed by the Aggies and was unstoppable once he got the ball on the baseline.

Unfortunately UNT has little else talent wise and we could be in serious jeopardy of not making the tourney up here in Bowling Green this year.

Too many turnovers and no depth were my major concerns. We looked flatfooted late in the second, probably from fatigue.

I honestly did not see a lot of fundamentals type mistakes like in previous years, UNT is just not a very talented team IMHO.

RV did a good job at the halftime interview, and the Superpit looks great on tv. It brought back memories as I almost never missed home games as a student, and I have not been to Denton in 10 years now!

I saw them setting up for the halftime interview. What did RV talk about? The SuperPit looks much darker inside once you get above court level. I went to the concession stand and saw the game on TV there and was surprised how much brighter they can make it look on TV.

RV mentioned that the Sunbelt was considering allowing all teams to play in the Confernece tourney again starting in 2005.

Of course that would be good for UNT as we host the thing next year.

WKU host it this year and are 0-2 in conference play. Yikes!
