Could possibly end up with 5 off that list.  If LeBlanc was here he'd be in there making it 6

Surprised they didn't amend the list to take Bean off after he committed here.

Maybe I'm wearing a tinfoil hat here but the Anti-UNT sentiment seems rampant. Any time anything good happens to us it seems someone is covering it up or shitting on it

Any reason we haven't offered Spencer Trussell from Martin?

My guess is, he's already told the coaches he's not going to play here.  He has offers on the table from P5s Kansas State and Texas Tech; Tulsa and La Tech among a few G5s.

Yes, Arkansas State and UTSA have also offered, and they may simply be better thought of by recruits like Trussell at this point.  Arkansas State's recent bowl run - now at six seasons in a row - makes them attractive to any recruit they offer.  Six in a row is no fluke.

UTSA is simply aggressive.  Many of us - me included - misjudged their hire of Frank Wilson.  Whether or not he is a good coach in the long run as far as game day, we can now all agree that he's a good recruiter who hires good recruiters.  There really is no other way to put it.

Trussell's a legitimate recruit, that's for sure.  Many solid coaching staffs are on him.  If you've gotten and offer from Bill Snyder, that says a ton.  He's been picking the right guys, heralded and unheralded, since 1989.  Hard to argue with a kid who says, "Look, don't bother, I've got an offer from Snyder."

In some ways, that does us the favor of not chasing something we can never land.

On the other hand...if we haven't offered him...

...damn, that would dumb.  Really, really dumb.

Maybe big brother's lack of PT kindof turned him off.    But if Connor liked it here, I would think he might help talk us up.
Of course, we all hoped the same thing with the Orr boys, but got nowhere.

You can't be serious?? They took a TCU and a Wisconsin offer and are both playing major roles.  Nothing wrong with their choice.

He didn't say there was.  Most of us had just hoped they'd come here instead, and that Zach would help make that happen.

But if we could only have one Orr come to UNT, I'd take Zach every time.

I think something was lost in translation here.
What I was saying is that hoping an older sibling who suited up for the Mean Green would sway the younger sibling to do the same did not work for the Orr family, so it may not work for the Trussell family either.
I did not say, or would I ever mean, that the Orrs should have chosen UNT over WI/TCU.

And why not?  Unless they are every down players at those schools, why not? They have seen first hand the love that UNT can give and that UNT can get guys to the NFL. They could've, would've, should've been stars here. If they're anything short of consistent every down players, in my eyes it's a mistake. That goes for all P5 special team starters/2nd stringers/situational players. Not just the Orr boys.

Gotcha, it was lost in translation.  Thanks for clarifying.

This dude is the truth! He wrecked havoc on us as a true freshman.  Here's to hoping he flips.  Cheers.
