Gibbs said the quality of the education he will receive and the opportunity for early playing time will be key factors in his decision.

If he truly means this... and he wants to play Safety, WELCOME HOME JAXON!!

Have you seen the depth chart at Safety here after McClain graduates?

Oh, and this is the kind of Education you're getting here:

Looking forward to your upcoming commitment and your signing on Dec. 20th!

Jaxon Gibbs didn't have high expectations when he visited North Texas for the first time on Friday.

What the safety from The Colony saw changed his perception of what the school has to offer.

"It was way better than I expected," Gibbs said after returning home. "The campus is beautiful, and I can see the vision for the future. They are building a new indoor facility and a whole bunch of new things. That caught my attention. It showed that they are trying to improve on everything they do."

This is huge. This is how we are perceived outside of our little fan bubble. Think about all the recruits we miss on because they won't even consider visiting our campus because of some preconceived notion. Examples like this show just how important getting a good showing at our camp can be. Get them in to see that we don't play at Fouts anymore like some of their coaches may still believe.

Nah, Littrell is just a drooling, socially awkward redneck that can't recruit.

This, in the bold, has been kind proven to be accurate. The rest of of your post is just pompous jackassery.

@Ben Gooding    The issue he is trying to point out is that Seth and company are fighting an uphill battle. Our (UNT) perception is still not well thought in the High School ranks. High School coaches have seen North Texas put "new coats of paint" on a crappy foundation for years and years. Wren, Seth, and company are finally working to repair the foundation of North Texas sports. As the saying goes, "Preception is Reality." It's not going to happen overnight. And yes, he does have a hard sell whether or not we want to admit it.

That being said, his (Jaxon's) comments show that we need to get the word out to the High School coaches and "help" them understand via whatever medium necessary what is happening up in Denton. We need to shape their perception to our reality!

100% agreed.

UNT and the staff should be bringing/asking groups of kids and their coaches to come up every week! Best way to do it is let's the kids spread word of mouth how they enjoyed it and the coaches see it evolve and grow over time!

Word of mouth is the best type of information!

Fouts had waterless urinals.

After the departure of the beloved pee wall. That was the last "lipstick on a pig" along with a fresh coat of paint generously donated by Pittsburgh paints during the Todd Dodge years.

That brings back fond memories of a young Indiana-boy's first visit to Reynosa, Mexico in 1963! :)

I think Rice still has them. At least they did during the Dodge debacle a few years back.

Yes, they do - as of last year's game.
