Is it possible?

My house is now equipped to handle fiber internet.  Which is crazy fast.
I currently have Spectrum TV/internet and am committed to it for a few more months.  I will switch to fiber when I can.

The only reason I pay for cable TV is to have ESPN.  I watch some news and stuff, and DVR everything, but all of that non-ESPN stuff is easily accessible via Amazon/Hulu/Netflix, etc...and you can buy DVRs.

If there is someway to get ESPN without having to pay 100+/month for TV, I would drop cable TV subscription in a heartbeat.  Then I could just have my fiber internet and be set!

I would look into a streaming plan.  I've looked at Sling TV but there's one from Sony PlayStation, Youtube, DirecTV etc.  I think Sling comes out to be the cheapest which is 20 or 25 per month but there are a few network channels missing if I recall.

Sling's website says they offer ESPN as part of their base 25 channel package.

Anybody on here use Sling?  If so, care to share your thoughts?

Several people in my family subscribes to Sling which mainly uses it via Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices and I've used it also & I think it's really good and it'll only get better.  I think the UI could be a little better but on the whole I would definitely recommend it as overall quality and picture wise I don't notice any difference and I don't think I've ever experienced much buffering.  I haven't switched over to Sling streaming yet personally because there's other companies as well that I want to research and look at before making the switch.

Good thing about all these streaming plans is there's no contract or anything so you can sign on and cancel at anytime and can try out all the companies/plans you want and try it out before deciding which one you like best.

Ditto what has been said. Had it last fall only during football season.

Had the base package of $20 + a $5 sports package add-on that included ESPN el ocho, BeIN, campus insiders, etc. During college football season, I had damn near every game. Also had BBC America, TBS, TNT, USA, etc.

Came with a T-Mobile discount so I was paying like $19 total including the package. Biggest downside is only 1 viewer at a time.

True of the 'Sling Orange' package which includes ESPN. I have 'Sling Blue' which does not have ESPN, but has Fox Sports Southwest, FS1, and FS2. That package allows 3 different devices at once.
