supply and demand. Also, gotta consider what he brings to the P&L.

Well, Baker was able to use Coach Littrell's prestige to get us a home-and-home with Liberty.  That's gotta be worth something.

Maybe not to you, we all get it but obviously it was to his bosses.

Did anybody else hear Norm mock UNT about this on the ticket yesterday?  "THAT school is paying a MILLION dollars to their football coach?  Where is THAT school getting THAT kind of money?" Then somebody else quipped it was from the money saved on George not calling games anymore.  Basically just the whole notion of UNT even having a football team was the most ridiculous thing ever.  Then they moved on to some other topic.

That is jealousy. I personally think that UNT is not super smart with this raise at this point in time (I'd a rather increased the assistants and recruiting budget more), but I do like the commitment to athletics and it raising eyebrows elsewhere. Eventually it will yield winning in basketball or football (my money is on basketball getting there faster). And with money being behind it, people (Houston, SMU, etc) will have to very grudgingly accept that UNT is their peer now in a way

Silly comments, you could make about almost any fb division universities' HC pay.   "That school" could certainly pertain more aptly to SMU, they spend more money and have less fan support.

In general, I like Norm; he at least attempts to keep the discussion about sports.   He also tries too hard to be controversial and funny.   He has a lot of time to fill.
