I was reading today about one of the local car dealers in Jacksonville/St. Augustine who has commercials running on local TV constantly. To my surprise there's a UNT connection.

Mike Beaver, who owns Beaver Toyota with his wife Linda, is a 1996 graduate of UNT with a bachelor of science in biochemistry. The couple bought the local Toyota dealership for $18.9 million in 2015 after taking over failing dealerships in Santa Fe, New Mexico; and Lufkin, Texas, and making them successful.

If anyone reading this has connections to alumni donor recruitment for UNT athletics, please pass this along to them. I don't know how they feel about UNT, but they are brilliant marketers who keep buying dealerships headed to bankruptcy and turning them quickly into top-100 dealerships.

The next time he's giving a speech to the public I'll try to attend and talk to him about the Mean Green.

Might want to go directly to Wren Baker with this information.  Underlings might gum up the works on this.
