I spoke to a buddy of mine that lives in Midland.

My friend said that Matt Groeschel , OG, 6-6, 320 from Greenwood HS, Midland, received an offer from North Texas.

I do not know anything about Groeschel.

Any one have recruiting information on Groeschel?

No offer, but he is attending one of our camps and has been to a lot of Jr. Days.

I'd like to point out that Greenwood is indeed it's own municipality. More like a suburb of Midland.

Glad we are reaching out to West Texas kids

Pecos must be growing fast if it's 4A now. My parents still live in Midland so whenever I go home I'm still amazed at how much all of it is growing and changing

No idea what it is like now, but Greenwood to Midland had the same relationship as Southlake to Dallas.

All the rich families moved there.

They also have Greentree and Mockingbird which are where a lot of the high income families moved as well.

Definitely has grown though

unless he wanted to be home, UTPB is a weird commitment.

Won't be surprised if he wanted to stay home.

West Texas has this weird thing where if you don't get out, and get out early, you're stuck there for life. Seems he might be following that path.

Where is UT Permian Basin and in what league do they play in. I have never heard of them.

It is located in Odessa, and as noted above, play in the Lone Star Conference with the likes of Angelo State, West TX A&M, Tarleton State, etc...

I know what you are saying, but one of the main reasons West Texas kids play football is to get the hell out of West Texas.

Good place to be from, not that great a place to be at.
