Did any of the coverage say "The UNT Police have concluded their investigation and have turned all of their findings over to the Denton County DA?" Because, if not, then the University HAS done something wrong.

Did any of the coverage say they had not?  Honest question.

From the "Police make a second arrest article," the UNTPD obtained arrest warrants.

Smatresk sent an e-mail to the university community  Tuesday saying the campus police department had obtained arrest warrants for three students. A fourth person not affiliated with the university is also the subject of an arrest warrant, but Leliaert said UNT would not say what alleged offense triggered the warrant.

From the same article it seems there nearly a month from when the UNTPD started on the case and the briefed President Smatresk. So much for Smatresk controlling the investigation!

Smatresk's  email to the UNT community indicated the case began March 30 when the university received a report about an alleged sexual assault with a reference to prostitution. UNT Police Chief Ed Reynolds launched an investigation and then briefed Smatresk on April 26, according to UNT sources.

Vito even has an explanation for the confusion as to if these are students or not.

The three students are all still enrolled at the university full time, said Kelley Reese, a spokeswoman for UNT. However, they are all banned from campus at this time.

Great reporting on this by @Brett Vito !!

Once again, this is nothing like the Baylor rape case!
