Unfortunately, i think this is going to be the norm for awhile. You forget the league as a whole is basically brand new every year as all the top talents is transferring out. So it takes a few games for all the new faces to gel and become the teams that they are by conference time. -

TX State to the PAC 2?
They have till July 2026 to get 8 football members. TSU would give them 7. Like you mentioned, perhaps throwing a name out there under consideration maybe gets another program to say “what about us?”. -

Is there some reason this deal is not already done? PAC doesn't seem like it's in a position with all the leverage...they need someone to join them and complete the membership. Maybe there are others lobbying behind closed doors?
