Any idea what year(s) team this helmet was for?

No center stripe, white face mask, linked block North Texas lettering was used 2011 - 2013.

However, no idea if it is authentic.

The shell does look like the darker green used in '06, but that year has the black facemasks... maybe a franken helmet?

That is too dark of a green for that helmet, plus there is a black stroke on Mean Green and a cheaper decal than what was used under Mac. That is not from that era. Probably 05-06, but yeah the face mask is wrong.

Some practice helmets from that era had the white or gray facemasks. So yeah, could be a a practice helmet from that era, though those usually didn't have a stickers.

This is some sort of frankenhelmet. I don't think it was game used, because that combination of shell color, facemask, and sticker was never used in as an official game helmet. Could be a practice helmet.

ETA: Officially, helmet talk is even worse than normal uniform talk.

cobbs, jamario and quinn wore them, but not with a white face mask. maybe a transitional combination or practice helmet.

I have the same one at home with white face mask. The helmet is from Dickey's era, but the I think the mask should probably be green.

The truth.

That is a 2006 helmet. It is basically the script helmet from the end of the Dickey era with the current font on it. It would fall right between the two helmets on the top shelf of my avatar. The university adopted the current eagle logo and font before the 2005 season, and it was incorporated into the emerald helmets for the 2005 and 2006 seasons. The 2005 helmet is slightly different. It does not have a black outline on the font. The mask should be black. Someone has placed a white face mask on it. We never wore those helmets with white face masks and that font on it. If you buy it, change the mask. That helmet was short lived. RV hired Dodge and we wore the white Southlake style helmets starting in 2007.

As you can see from my avatar, I am a helmet geek. I collect game helmets.

You are correct. I asked the seller...he says he got it from a friend who was a WR on that team. And he changed out the mask at some point. But I'm thinking I won't have a problem swapping it out with a black one for the price. Everything else is legit.
