I would think being Athletic Director and Head Football coach would be a lot more stable than a college position coach. He was at DeSoto for six years and Austin LBJ for three. His two years at SMU seems like a way to get some college experience before the next HS management job opened up.

You go from one of the top 10 coaching jobs in the state, up to a D1 position coach spot...  Then way down to Marshall?

Reminder that Tom Westerberg left Allen, which won 3 state title from 2012-2015, to go to Barbers Hill which hadn't made the playoffs since 2012.
