Now holds offers from ACU, Bowling Green, Fordham, Holy Cross, New Mexico State, Rice, and Texas State

Obviously has good grades.

This kid stands out to me on video, checking down, arm strength, etc... but nobody seems to be pushing for him. Am I missing something? To me, I would rather have him that Tune or Martin.

im not sure I remember this kids tape. I love the tape, three things that stick out to me that could be hurting his stock awkward release, 3a ball, and 2/1 TD/INT. I'd be tickled if he commits, to me he releases ball before receiver isn't out of break several times, tells me he knows what he's doing and where he wants the ball to go. His ball has some serious zip on it as well. This kid can play!!

Thanks for your insight, but I think Boerne Champion is Class 5A, per a Google search.

Does he have an awkward release? It is quick. He doesn't wind up, but basically pulls the ball up by his ear and let's it fly.

I really like his tape, but don't watch near as much as you do.

Its interesting, as far as QBs that we think UNT could be getting in the next few weeks..

Amie is the top rated at .8459, followed by Brin at .8366, with Martin still being unrated.

Martin and Brin seem to be similar terms of play style, with Martin I think being a bit more polished. But Brin has the better offer list.

I definitely like this kid better than all the others I've seen so far.

He's got a compact release, good size, strong arm, and pretty good feet/speed.

Get this kid committed now!

Just food for thought, but many poster's favorite and KU commit, Tune, is rated .8367. Just .0001 ahead of Brin. Let's lock him up. Are we hot or cold @TheReal_jayD?

I'd guess cold, because JD said he's on that list of QB's and this kid isn not, however this guy can ball!! exciting times for sure!!!!

I think sometimes he doesn't follow through/stop his hips early/uses just his arm @GMG24, and it makes his motion look wonky. Overall it looks fine.

His footwork is nice, but sometimes he spreads his feet like he's about to do a split.

Good talent.

Keep in mind UTSA is pretty stacked numbers wise at QB according to their roster with starter Dalton Sturm a junior returning, Jaylon Henderson a redshirt freshman 3 star from Kingwood, Manny Harris a 3 star RS freshman from Copperas Cove, Jared Johnson a senior from Grand Prairie, Bryce Rivers from San Antonio is a 3-star 2017 signee/early enrollee and their star recruit Frank Harris will be there in the Fall. This doesn't account for a couple of walk-one they have as well.

If a UTSA fan wants to clarify the above please do.

My point is p5's are able to double stack QB recruits but it is more difficult to do that at a G5. At some point they have to take numbers at the position into account.

FYI, Sturm is a senior this year. Jaylon Henderson is no longer with the team. He is now at TVCC. Jared Johnson was a senior last year and is not on the 2017 roster. Frank Harris may end up playing QB, but he was recruited as an athlete.

Currently, behind Sturm utsa has Manny Harris and Bryce Rivers plus a transfer walkon, Brandon Garza, from UH. They have talent in Manny Harris and Rivers behind Sturm, but not a lot of quantity at the moment. Maybe Frank Harris will get a shot at QB when he arrives.

I think the word may be getting out regarding the QB position in San Antonio, much like when Mac was here. Wilson seems to want a bus driver. Sturm averaged 166 yds/game and 23 attempts/game last season. Not exactly going to attract top QB talent now that other coaches can use historical numbers to show that Wilson wants to run the same offense that Mac ran.
