KZEW...brings back a lot of memories of summertime.

I remember the Zoo's "10th Anniversary" concert.  For $3.98, I got to see Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, fhe Fixx, and Eddie Money.

Life is ZEW and we are all inside.

KYA in San Francisco does something similar on Tune In. That station has been around a lot longer so you here commercials from the 60's, promoting new albums from Zeppelin, the Beatles, Grateful Dead, The Isley Brothers, etc.

maybe they'll inspire the old KLOL (Houston) DJs to start their own streaming station!

When Stephens and Pruet left The Eagle in 1986 that station fell apart.  But man was I so happy when I took a job in Houston after graduation to find out that they had moved down there to KLOL.  They were two of the best.

Two of their skits I remember vividly were "Waldo...teen aged -what ever the subject of the day was- type person", and "Woman To Woman".

I gotta say that I miss radio personalities.  They seem to be an extinct species.  An no, I don't consider Russ Martin to be a radio personality.  Three or four hours of dead air and incoherent giggling every afternoon isn't a personality.
