It's been said McCasland couldn't run his system to its fullest here because he didn't have the athletes needed which is why his teams at Tech have looked the way they have. I think it's fair to say a coach in the Horizon may also limit his system to the available athletes.
It doesn't take getting into details to come to that conclusion.
All I'm saying is let's see what he can do here.
His son is a 6'8 forward and a freshman so that may be good.
They said he is a defensive minded coach. Maybe not to our standards at 68.1 though. But ties to Iowa State sounds good.
I'm not super excited, but hope he can keep things going as good as anyone can these days.
We could have doubled any of those coaches' salaries, or even the UC Irvine coach. Maybe it's not the reality, but I think we all felt those coaches were in a range that were attainable. Except for Huss, since he's at a private school maybe he was getting paid a hefty amount.
