Anyone else still rooting for Eric Morris?
Do I want him to turn it around and be successful? Well a successful EM means a successful NT, so yes. Do I think he can turn it around, hell no. Do I think he has the the coaching ability and intellect to turn it around, also no. -

Anyone else still rooting for Eric Morris?
Not a bad take. But, I don't want to conflate two separate issues. I am always going to root for the Mean Green in every game they play, and Morris is currently the head coach, so I guess I am rooting for him to win. Now, am I rooting for him to return next season? Probably not. Every sign seems to be pointing to the sad reality that we are headed in the wrong direction. If we somehow end up in a bowl game and beat a respectable opponent and finish 7-6, then I would reconsider (highly doubt that happens). Anything less and I will be very upset by a year three of Morris. As for the part about not having the money for a buyout, do we know this for a fact, or is this just an assumption? Since his salary is only about half of what Littrell's was, then it would stand to reason that the buyout is not unmanageable. -

Anyone else still rooting for Eric Morris?
I have been rooting against him all along because I didn’t think he would be an improvement over Littrell. If we had hired a smash mouth defense-first coach I may have felt differently. We just hired a less experienced version of what we already had.- 1
