Thanks for sharing! I wasn't able to attend since I am in Colorado so it was nice to listen in. Great to see some of the guys show up and show support for the new coach. Woolridge is really going to shine under McCasland.

In my lifetime I have had the good fortune to meet and observe in action a few great basketball coaches. With that frame of reference for comparison, I sense that McCasland is the real deal. I think we're on the way...mark it down!

Really like the way he addressed some obvious issues.

NT not in his view a short time destination.

Did not come here primarily because of family issues.

Will depends on players already here.

Players well being a high priority.

Political answers maybe, but he was smart enough to address them.

Also like the thought of primarily a man-to-man defense, looking to run

The most promising and honestly biggest relief to me was him saying this isn't a short-term stop. I'm hoping that he is someone that is here for a long-time because of success, not being a place holder like TB was this year. I know he likely has to say he is here for the long-term, but it honestly sounded like and looked like he meant it.

Another thing that was impressive, was him saying we will be ELITE. Again, this is something every single coach says, but again it gives us hope and should show the players that he won't take just getting by.

As successful college basketball coaches go, most of the good ones have a certain characteristic that makes me question literally everything they say---especially if they espouse loyalty to anything other than the almighty dollar.  I believe almost none of what was said today.  I also believe that he will be a very good (win/loss record-wise) coach for us as long as he's in Denton.

I believe, Sir, that you have skillfully brought your hammer upon the nail's head and I shall offer to pick up your tab tonight.

Nice roster of coaches that he's been around: Snake Legrand, Billy Gillespie, Harry Miller, Scott Drew, James Dickey, etc.

I'm excited about NT basketball again!

You should be, this guy is the real deal.

CoachgMac is probably not the best moniker for him.

I think he's used that for a while. If you scroll down on his Twitter feed you see things that are obviously from his time at ASU. He changed the handle but not the actual account.
