I suppose we should be prepared for some JUCOs.  ASU had 7 active on the roster this season and was actively recruiting 6 more.  1 of the 6 has given his verbal commitment, but tweeted earlier that he was re-opening his commitment (deleted tweet later).  Roosevelt Smart would be a nice player to pick up to complement Lawson at SG.

Makes you wonder how many of the current players will end up here in the Fall and whether or not he will bring any of the players he is still recruiting over with him.

I have no idea how basketball recruiting works. Is most of the recruiting done by the head coach or by the assistants, like in football?

I read about assistant recruiting all the time.  Total assumption here: with the smaller roster management it allows the HC to see and visit all the potential signees

Yes, generally assistants are more involved in recruiting than the head coaches. Assistant coaches typically cannot extend scholarships unless given the green light by the head coach. Generally, assistants will recruit the guys and the head coach will make the final decision whether to officially extend an offer. Many scholarships aren't official until the head coach watches the recruit play. The assistant coach will recruit them, the head coach signs off on it. It varies from staff to staff.

Is that the current logo to use for UNT? @NathanVC? I thought it was dated and replaced, but maybe I'm wrong.

Hmm we have two logos for UNT...the one on the team page seems to be outdated; I'm not seeing it anywhere on the UNT athletics site. I replaced it with the main one (green eagle logo).
