It was not pretty, but it was a win.   Buckner was a much needed inside presence, but if she would have hit half her layups; this game wouldn't have been that close.

Otherwise, yes...I was old enough to see Alex English ball back in the day.  He was quite good!  One of the premier scorers in the pre-Michael Jordan Era NBA, and even a little into it.

It is going to be tough for NT playing WKU less than 22 hours from the end of this game.   Add that game was double ot and NT only really used 6 players and the fatigue factor is going to be huge.     WKU stomped NT in Denton by 20, so they will be massive underdogs.

The fatigue factor is legitimate. Because of the recent WKU encounter, Jalie should have a real good idea of strategies to employ and player matchups, offensively and defensively. WKU is a formidable opponent, but maybe we catch them on a day when they have been reading their press clippings. Just go and play the best game you have, Ladies, and we'll see what happens. You have them right where you want them!
