I don't think anyone on the team or in the stands wearing green wanted to play the game last night. Atin Wright already admitted a couple weeks ago that Wayland Baptist was one of those games they didn't really want to play. The attendance was even worse than the Wayland game. Thankfully we are through it and we can focus on D1 competition going forward. I don't know how students will be but hopefully a lot of alumni will come out to give us a homecourt advantage against the Beavs.
I get the frustration, coaches spend years recruiting players but now the NIL is involved and coaches have less control. It used to be that the coaches had all the offering power, but now the NIL has the power, and coaches are stuck playing middle man.
