Need some clarification from @BillySee58

if no contact is allowed until April 15th, how do Junior Days work?  This is no longer a dead period, but a quiet period. Kids can visit campus' but coaches can't visit the HS or athlete.

As a HS coach this worries me, if 7 on 7 groups are allowed to start this you could see AAU type corruption enter the Football world.

Lord knows high school football doesn't need any more unsavory activity.

So what is La Tech's illegal activity?

To my understanding hosting a junior day specific to only kids from a recruiting "site" and calling it a junior day is unprecedented

Kids are allowed to visit campus and meet w/coaches during quiet period.

Looks like this is @ LaTech.  Just based on the posted tweets, I do not see any violations.

Why I paged Billy,  however I don't know how many invite only JR days.  This is one they invited only the "true buzz" 7 on 7 group.

I don't know. I'm definitely not well-versed in recruiting violation knowledge. I've just never really cared. I know Auburn hosts a 7 on 7 tourney, so I don't think this is anything new. I don't think this is any kind of aggregious violation or unfair advantage. I'm also not a member of the coaching community so I can't speak to what you're saying.

Thanks, I'll check in and see if this is a new thing or what.  I'll ask Wednesday when I'm at UNT with other HS coaches.  I found it interesting they only invited the one group in.  Do you know if there isn't a specific number of invite only junior days or if that is even a thing?  Going from MS to HS has given me a fresh perspective on this entire topic.

Just based on what I found on NCAA.org, there is no wording that dictates how they can invite recruits....be it per high school or other organizations.

If there is a rule being broken here, this is a terrible job on the part of LaTech's compliance staff to hide it.

Appreciate your research, just so different from my (lack of) experience in recruiting growing up.
