Didn't we already know about this guy?

yes but we were unclear on blue shirt or immediate scholarship. Wasn't being counted towards class rankings etc.

lets hope we don't have to use his punting skills frequently

For as long as I can remember(and that's a long time), UNT has always needed a good/great punter.

This is a more important piece than most would believe. Field position is a vitally important part of the game. We need someone back there that can flip the field if the offense sputters and someone who can pen them deep when we do score.

I'm not questioning the importance of the punter.   North Texas has had a history of top quality punters.  We tend to get a good one, kickers too, and keep them for 4 years.  There is not such a "revolving door" of punters and kickers as there is in some other positions.  I'm sorry that my innocent question would draw a -1, but I still thought we had signed a punter.  Is that correct ?

My comment was not directed at you. More of a comment that the average person would give a big meh to signing a punter/kickoff specialist.

BTW: We also have Sam Aguilera as a RS Freshman punter next year
