Congrats to 3 in state programs that we ought to be competitive with and two other out-of-state conference mates for making this list.

Maybe next year!

(P.S.: I'm willing to package "Maybe next year!" with "Hopefully it works out better this time!" in a very reasonably priced package deal. Seriously, hit me up on the PM, UNT licensing, and we can make a great deal here.)

One thing all those schools have in common... winning well except FIU but let's be real if you can't recruit to Florida you may as well quit.

Hey, we're still above Rice and UTEP!

If Rice didn't have academic issues to deal with when recruiting they'd be ahead of us.

Yes. Both of those programs have coaches who recruit with the background of being close to getting fired and all the recruits knowing it.

that statement just makes me feel worse. It should be a given, yet we may finish below one or both. With the blue shirts we will have a short class next yr and the piss poor closing the deal on the targets. Worried about the future for the 1st time in the short SL era

If you count all time we were in a conference with 7 of them:

Memphis (MVC)
Houston (MVC)
Boise St (BWC)
ECU (CUSA)
UTKFC (CUSA)
MT (SBC/CUSA)
FIU (SBC/CUSA)

Remember that time, way back, when utsa and Texas st were mulling moving up from fcs and so many here supported that move?  Thanks.  There were already too many Texas FBS teams.  Recruiting has gotten tougher and so far we're getting our @sses handed to us.  The same clowns are pushing crap about wanting them to become our rivals.  Again, thanks but no thanks.

Hoping Littrell and these kids get the last laugh and this class was just misread by virtually all recruiting pundits.
