Still a tight game. UNT leads 65-63; 7:37. Derail picked up his 3rd foul getting into it with Jackson.

Last media timeout. Davis picked up his 4th and after he comes out the coaches tell AJ he's guarding #3. It's ok guys, he can't hurt us from the bench...

69-67 UNT; 3:59.

0-8 in conference.

Benford snatches defeat from the jaws of victory again.

This was the second most winnable game left on the conference schedule and UNT didn't. UTEP is, on paper, the last shot at a win this year.

How long will this be allowed to continue?

how many poor fans showed up for the game?  I decided to stay home and wash my hair.

(-) Charlotte has the 2nd best offense in CUSA, UNT has the 4th worst defense in CUSA

(push) Charolette has the worst defense in CUSA, but UNT has the second worst offense.

(-) Charolette already beat the Benfords by 20 and scored 101 in the process.

don't forget, Charolette had two of their starters sitting out the game.

Surprisingly decent crowd. Nothing like the last few years under JJ, but decent. ESPN box score shows 2,006 which is reasonable based on what I saw last night.

No worries guys, I'm sure WB will be sitting there, doing nothing about the shit show.

What do you want WB to do?  Replace Benford with Benford's buddy 70 year old Evans?  His coaching buddies that are the other assistants?  Shelton the HS coach/operations manager?  Hell, they'll all be gone at the end of the year.

I bet Shelton stays but the rest are gone. The last basketball operations manager (luster) stayed on when the rest left after Benford came on board.

I thought I've been clear on this, but I guess not.

Fire Tony Benford immediately!

It should have been done years ago. WB couldn't help that, but he could have made the right call when he was hired or anytime since then. Instead we get 'new boss, same as the old boss'.

He also seems to have a decent grip on what's going on.

I agree. He had a good relationship with the athletic department and the players. He may not ever be a head coach, but he is valuable to the team.
