Thanks, but I don't think that is updated to show who was red-shirted in 2016.  I would guess Aguilera, Anthony, Mann, Watson, Ursery, Smith, Boyd, Santos, Pirtle, Cason, Patterson, Omerhi, Merrell, Duhon, Edwards, Harrison, Hair-Griffen and Gerths from the list of true freshmen.  This is strictly from looking at the list and testing my memory.  Also, Ozougwu was a blue shirt.  Does that eat up theri chance to red-shirt?  I would assume so, but just wanted to confirm.

Did any of the JUCO's redshirt like Thomas, or did he play?

One thing that Baker should improve is the amount of real on time information that NT distributes.  Minor in the scheme of things but player weights have not been updated since McCarney left.   I guess no one has grew in over an year.  NT has never shown who has lettered and who has not on the official site.  The game time participation stats. are totally unreliable with players sometimes redshirted that were listed as having played.  Also the total number of scholarship athletes have been pointed out in total, however it is very difficult to know exactly who has ships and who doesn't.

It seems to me it would be very easy to print a roster depicting current sizes ( allowing the usual over-stated heights of players), scholarship status and experience (ie, years lettered, squad member without letter, high school, jc, transfer; etc).  All this information I would think is easily available and it would take very little effort to update at key points in the season.   Report date, spring training and after the season end

There may not be many who follow NT football that close, but maybe a little more information might actually help gain a little more interest.

No matter how a player arrives to campus (scholarship or walk on) they have 5 years to play 4 seasons. Blue shirts and grey shirts all still get the same 5 to play 4 timeframe.

Starts the day he becomes a full time student.  Player can walk on his 5 year and he is done.

Ozougwu was not a blue shirt.

Much like Cade Pearson, he graduated early and was at UNT in the spring of his Senior year of high school.

He was/is a gray shirt. Grey shirting essentially gives them an extra spring/summer before starting their official 5 to play 4 clock
