'17 DL Devon Tibbs (Houston Lamar) [Verbal: NT]

6'3" 252 lb defensive tackle from Lamar high school in Houston. We have offered. Per his twitter, also holds 7 FCS offers (Prairie View A&M, Tennessee State, Southern university, SFA, Central Arkansas, Texas Southern, and Northern Colorado), a DII offer, and an offer from Kilgore JUCO. 247 lists him as an SFA commit but I believe that is not up to date.

He uses his hands really well to shed blocks, and make a lot of tackles in the backfield. It looks like he could put more weight on his frame. The staff can coach him up to reach his potential.

Quick off the ball too. I think if he was 25 lbs heavier, or .04 seconds faster he would have a ton of offers.

I had posted in another thread asking this.. with Tibbs, Roberts being blue-shirts that drops us to 16.. any idea on who else is blue-shirt?

Also, great add getting these guys as Blue-shirts!

What do you bet that the staff believes that he can be developed at least to this level during the first year on campus, and when 2018 season comes, he's physically ready to be a difference maker?
