Custom gun paint job

Looking for input from graphic folks. I am going to get one of my ar's done in a  UNT green/white theme.  But needing some help on the layout and design.  

 

Anyone ne want to help?

I'm not a graphics person but I think your idea is cool.  I've considered doing a build in the orange and blue UTSA colors.

Are you planning on having DuroCoat used or something else?

Is the lower and upper going to be colored or just the "furniture"?

Abbreviation for a company that developed what would become the M16 rifle. The company's name is Armalite and various configurations of their products are referred to as ARs (AR-15, AR-10, etc...)

Most aficionados simply refer to them as ARs.

The weapon I toted around a time or two in Viet Nam was an AR-16 made by Colt Firearms.

I've never fired one, but I think it's safe to say that rifle isn't recoilless! ?

actually for the one firing the gun it isn't bad at all. now stand 10-15 degrees off axis and it will shatter a windshield

To keep with the UTSA theme instead of lubing it with CLP, just use KFC fryer run off.

Actually, I lube my rifles with the slippery tears of the defeated meangreen. I collected a bunch at the Alamodome.

Any updates?

I tried hydro dipping for the first time today. 

It turned out better than I thought it would. 

I tried it on an extra dust cover I don't need. 

The first try I used Roadrunner orange and blue. It didn't work at all. I only had high heat paint in those colors and it all clumped together when I dipped it. 

 I found a couple cans of old cheap spray paint and they worked great. Green and black.

I sprayed it with a gray primer before dipping it.
