Wren Baker, one of the largest recruiting websites, 247sports.com still doesn't have our official logo.  (Logo is hideous actually) This is a huge site for potential recruits and we need to have this updated ASAP.  I'm a MG Club Member, will renew again this year, and I'm excited and optimistic about the future of Mean Green football and athletics.  This new coaching staff gets it and understands that recruiting is the life blood of any program.  What a season but we have many more 1sts with this group, awaken this sleeping giant bud. The best the AD can do is ask them to use the right logo. They can't make the site use the correct logo.

Actually, it is one of the logos produced by the people in university marketing...not a very popular logo, but one of the 'official ones' just the same.

While we are nitpicking, it's not our official athletic logo. Also, I don't know if that one (shown on 247) is being used any more.

Just an FYI (somebody just needs to tweet 247 about this)

Screen cap attached from the unt identity guide are the only non-diving eagle or Mean Green or UNT spirit/athletic marks

Why not contact David Stenklyft about this and have him handle with the folks at 247?

Exactly! If you see something like this, contact the athletic department directly rather than post here. If you aren't sure whom to contact, then email Wren. He does respond to things, although it might be several days before you get an answer.

Yes, though this is not something though that the Athletics Director should have to deal with. Contact the Football Director of Recruiitng, and I'm sure he can get it handled.

More often than not, no one in the Athletics Department even knows about things like this. I doubt they pay someone to just go out and surf the internet looking at sites like this to make sure everyone is using the correct logos.

It's a kids logo. Only used for Junior Mean Green Club etc

Even worse, and almost as bad as mixing in that retarded squirrel so as to water down our college brand and weaken our marketability even further.

Dude... I love ya but you can't tell me not one coach (past or present since 24/7 has been up) or not one AD staffer hasn't seen this glaring logo. I have noticed it for years now but feel like it's not my job (quite literally) to have it updated.

Omg you complain about everything. Using a happy Scrappy to market to kids is "watering down" the brand you're right.
