Alright Mean Green fans.  This may be my last opportunity to talk to you before we go out to meet the Black Knights of ARMY.  Did I mention they are the Black Knights ?  That means they will wear BLACK.  North Texas fans need to wear GREEN.  Any other color will be misunderstood by the television audience and by the fans across the field.  No matter what embroidery is on your shirt/coat/jacket, the primary color should be GREEN.  A black sweatshirt with "North Texas" in 1 inch tall letters will appear to be an ARMY supporter across the field and on TV. 

 

Wear GREEN.  BE loud.  Be present.

Beat ARMY

I should be OK in one of my many (differing shades of green) hoodies but if it's going to be colder than that I'm bringing a jack which isn't green.

I can't believe the bowl shirts are black. 

Here's an email from Voertman's advertising 30% off the rest of your purchase if you buy one of the black bowl shirts. 

I'm gonna wear all green.

Like the last time we were at this game I hope thousands will once again wear this shade of green.  The national ESPN TV cameras will pick up that shade of green very, very nicely.  I think HOD has sold out their North Texas sportswear gear but I'd bet most have a shirt similar. 

It's Texas so we have no idea on the temperature for Tuesday although I hear it will be very nice, but if its cool in the morning wearing this kind of T-shirt over a black sweat shirt looks pretty sharp.

That shade of green looks real good even on the Dallas Omni Hotel.  (This pic was taken during our last trip to the HOD Bowl).

Now calling for a high of 63 degrees and 0% chance of rain with winds 5-10mph.  Weather is looking good!

      I respect y'all sentiments about the unfairness of the system, but clearly none of you are really aware of the money involved. SMU has some crazy billionaires. But those couple big spenders are necessary because they have few alumni. With proper organization and motivation, UNT COULD definitely be in the #25-#50 spend range no question. Totally doable. Not top 10.... but guess what: those teams already had a huge payroll. NIL just makes it above the table and more democratic. UNT's athletic department and university administration is not totally bought in. I wouldn't give them NIL money either. They aren't in it to win. But if they change their mind, you'll find more NIL available. The donors at SMU are spending because the school is now in it to win. If we had the university governance we did in 2005, they wouldn't be spending, I assure you.
