I have been watching WKU bowl games over the past few years and I must say I always love watching the Hilltoppers game.  They are artistic on offense play solid D.  They are pure football class in CUSA.

Beat Army!

Great for C-USA in terms of Talent, offense, also this should get us to 2-1 for C-USA. UTSA, SM, WKU have held up their end with solid showings.. now up to ODU, UNT, LAT, MTSU to finish it up.

Also, great job they are doing in it with Intern HC

I watched the UTSA bowl game.  I'm not sure I'd classify their loss as a solid showing.

I wonder how many on his burner phone?

They say the reason he has 3 is different carriers so he always has service.

C-USA is a good conference.  We just need to step up and be who we should be for them as well as some other schools.

Yes, with Butch Davis and Kiffin on board at the Miamis, there will be more national eyes on it now.  Good time to break on through to the other side, so that when Seth is hired away, a big name coach would take us seriously as well.

I am loving the real possibility that our upward trending is faster than SMU's.  Hoping we can throat punch them net year to start off a nine or ten win season.

While it  wasn't a great showing yes, they played New Mexico at home and held up well for a team that was in it first bowl game vs an experienced/talented team. We all should be glad that it wasn't a blow out(not saying it was supposed to be) but we need to support C-USA in the bowl games.

WKU put a beat down on Memphis, and we need to hope LAT does as well on Navy. That shows the powerhouse teams in C-USA can play these bigger conferences(even if it's the American) and win. SM beating ULaLa in a bowl that they go to all the time just like New Mexico isn't easy. New Mexico/ULALa have a history in those bowls and they are home games for those schools. We expected C-USA to be 2-1, now it's up to ODU,MTSU,LAT, UNT to finish it off. If C-USA can run the table(fingers crossed) that makes all the schools better for recruiting.

If you are a North Texas fan WKU should give you hope.  What resources do they have that we do not have?  Hire a good coach, with a good plan.  Recruit like it is EVERYONE'S concern not just the coaching staff.  Stick to that plan and make adjustments when necessary.

Jeff Brohm built off of what was left to him from Petrino etc but the entire WKU administration stayed true to their goal.   I can promise you Brohm will do great things at Purdue.  He gets it and he would not have taken the job unless he had assurance from Purdue that they would support his plan.  He was not a job-hopper he had plenty of opportunities to leave last season but stayed.  What UNT needs to learn from WKU is how they mastered the G5 recruiting game.  gmg

I did, also, and it was a very solid showing against a 8-4 team that plays in a MUCH better conference than UTSA.

Maybe just a bit of a biased view on your part because of your feelings toward UTSA.

You're probably right.  I feel like I've seen UTSA exceed my expectations so many times in the past, my expectations are now all fouled up.  That combined with the fact that I probably didn't give New Mexico enough credit.

In all honesty...even though we pulled it off in the regular season against Army, I think we have the toughest remaining bowl matchup in CUSA. I hope all of you who can be there will bring lots of people and be really loud to provide a really solid "home game" environment.
