$1.4M is our assistant pool.

No surprise. When a new HC comes in from the outside there is usually not more than one or two assitants retained. If even that much. Unless the previous coach was leaving on his own terms. Not the case here though.

Roughly the same.  I wonder if the guy before Kiffin had that.  Not that it's mattered. 

I also wonder about the SMU's and FAU's of the world, where the "highly paid" coach is probably dragging down the net income of the zip code.  Like, I wonder whether the movers and shakers in Highland Park don't kind of chuckle to themselves and say, "Hey, would you take a pay cut to $2 million a year to baby sit 100 18-year olds?"

Especially if you figure UK is kicking in $200k a year to Mainord. Makes the earnings of our staff $1.6M
