Just because some fans came up with a bad idea doesn't mean we should go along with it.  Student section loves to throw MOTHER F***ING into the fight song... should we put a billboard of that up?  Maybe change the fight song officially?

I mean, this is a small issue.  I'm not going to lose sleep over it.  It just makes us look goofy IMHO.     Again, you don't see UT make "MOOving on up" billboards.  Why?  It's goofy and devalues the brand.

I am assuming that 'Come see the mother F@&$n Eagles in the HOD bowl' was considered for the billboard, but it must not have made the final cut.

Would have been memorable.

When I put the Talon up as I pass a fellow NT fan, I don't caw, I just "go mean green".

See..now that sounds like you're just parroting some passed down phrase

Not sure why my quote option disappeared...but last month, I took my now-ex-girlfriend's son and his friend on a tour, and the guide did the talon and the claw, and they thought it was corny too...that wasn't as bad as her inability to form proper sentences, but by the end of the tour, they both added UNT to their short list of colleges that included Berkeley, Pitt, and SHSU (?). I think they both knew there will be something you find cheesy about any school. Everything else we had to offer mattered a lot more than any goofiness the more "rah-rah" types may engage in. I love our teams...but I'm not really one to follow the crowd in most repsects either. We can all cheer our teams on in our own way without being on every bandwagon that comes along.
