1. RB/S Tyreke Davis: Offers from UNT, Fresno St, New Mexico  I will assume he gets 2-3 more G5 offers if he was 2 inches taller he'd be looking at double digit offers.  Kid can flat out play, 2016 Highlights aren't posted you can watch game by game.

5. OL Brendon Weatherspoon: ULM, UNT I believe he had a knee injury (minor) and had surgery ending his senior season early.  I like this kid if we can slim/trim him up in a college Strength and Conditioning program.  Problem is we don't have time to wait for him to be good.  Need OL in immediately.

D1 AA (FCS) : Abilene Christian University (ACU), Missouri State, University of Central Arkansas (UCA), Northwestern State, Stephen F. Austin (SFA), Liberty University, Incarnate Word (UIW), Houston Baptist (HBU), Lamar, Coastal Carolina, Northern Colorado, Illinois State, Alabama State (ASU)

D2: A&M Commerce

D3: Louisiana College

Take those schools out of the offer sheets and it's not quite as impressive, but at least we aren't losing kids to them right?

that is not a silver lining. Not at all. I think I tallied 17 total FBS offers not including UNT in our 12 commits.

Be careful placing too much emphasis on offer lists" right now, as it's a very fluid time in recruiting with daily changes.

Those are the schools who had offered at the time they committed to us. That is important information.

Yeah, I really don't factor in non-FBS offers in my rankings. Looks good the more you have, but FBS offers is where the offer lists stand to impress.

There is with FBS offers only.

I haven't been super impressed by this class so far.  It is at this moment near the bottom of CUSA.  I am sure SL understands how important recruiting is,  I just hope he can make staff changes IF NEEDED.

The class isn't final yet, there is still time for it to improve.  If it stays as it is right now then it is troubling.

Including our offer, our commits have 2.41 offers per recruit. So our commits, on average, have 1 other FBS program after them and then us. Exactly half of our commits have 2 offers (including us) or just us. At the rate this thing is going that number will probably increase.

We are cold on every rated recruits list and we have lost most recruiting momentum. Hate to mention it, but some of our conference foes have been doing pretty well for themselves over the last week. I'm applying a little pressure to the panic button. Not looking very good.

Something tells me we will end up with more than 12 recruits in this class.

Of course we will. No one is worried about ending up with a full class. Hell, we're half way there right now. The part that worries me and most is the quality of recruit already committed paired with the lack of general interest in North Texas football.

But you already know this. An apologist apologizing in a passive approach.

There is really no need to call him out, this starts arguments.  You could have simply said what I was going to say:

We will have a full class, but if the composition of the rest of the class matches what we have verbally committed already it will be a very low ranked class.

See, same statement.  No calling someone out (" But you already know this.") and no name calling (" An apologist apologizing").

I see the concern from everyone, but I also realize that Littrell has played everything "close to the vest" since arriving at UNT.  From who our starting QB will be, to injury reports, etc... he just chooses to be pretty private on these issues.  Is it good for recruiting?  I have no idea, but I hope.  He has appeared to have a handle on everything else since he has been in Denton, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt.

What does trouble me is the twitter page that was getting hammered.  I seem to recall that we were paying someone good money to come here from Fresno State to fix our social media exposure and that he came with accolades.  If we don't have a good class come signing day, and if there is not a good reason that we dropped Donovan and Sewell, then someone will have to stand up and answer the tough questions.  Something tells me Vito won't be jeopardizing his access with hard hitting questions.  Time will tell.

Other than a random non UNT affiliated account that makes edits, This is one of the few things coming out of the athletic office to my knowledge.  I will keep digging.

This isn't social media related but good to see we are sending letters and showing love.

The counterpoint to this is that the recruits are not playing it close to vest.  If they get a visit, an offer or really anything that is related to possibly playing FBS football, they let social media know.

I'm not as in tune with Twitter as others here.  They can probably find tons of examples of kids tweeting about coaches, schools, visits, etc.  So part of the concern I'm gathering is that we are not even seeing these things from their (the kid's) side of things.

The lack of evidence doesn't prove Littrell's staff is doing nothing.  It is, however, a big red flag and should be noted if February roles around and our signed class is at the bottom of CUSA.

We usually get stories after recruits commit or sign that talk about their decision and why they chose UNT.   Is there ever any study or outreach done with the recruits that didn't choose UNT?  Were we ever really in the running or way down the list?  Why?  All in an effort to better understand the mind of a recruit and what does and doesn't make a difference in their decision.  Would "market research" like this even be allowed?

Agree, as painful as is it to admit.  Doesn't look all that different than past classes.

Hope the bowl game is a win, and can generate more interest from recruits.  So far, it's not looking spectacular.
