And we took giant leaps back...

I was replaying the NT / Army game this morning.   Offensively, we took giant leaps back going into the Army game, not after it.   The running game woke up in the 2nd half, but the QB passing and decision making were not good throughout.   Army made mistakes that helped us.  Army still hasn't found a cure for their fumblitous yet, based on yesterday's game.

If our defense plays like it did against UTEP, I think we're doomed.  If they play like they did most of the year and the offense takes the extra prep time to heal up and get the passing game back in workable order, I think they have a good shot.  I just wasn't all that impressed with either team yesterday, but it was still entertaining drama.

Good news about Triple option football is man schemes vs gap schemes against zone teams like UTEP.  While there are still guys in gaps and it has to be gap sound, they will have certain players assigned to tackel certain parts of triple option.  I can guarantee they'll keep McClain on the pitch man.
