Apparently they are stating that we were celebrating in the endzone after the Army win while the Army Alma mater was playing.  They say we dishonored their "honor code".

Our players went over to the cadets and slapped hands after the game so it's not like our guys were acting terrible...

Whoever said or wrote that doesn't know anything about the Honor Code.  "A cadet will not lie, cheat, steal, or tolerate those who do."  Nothing there about post-game behavior.

Their interpretation is incorrect due to their lack of knowledge of the Honor Code.  Or due to their forgetfulness regarding the Honor Code.

Out of curiosity, how would THEIR honor code dictate OUR behavior? This cannot possibly be the first time another team has celebrated during their alma mater. They must not like a lot of teams.

We should be concerned about our own comcerns. Not their concerns. If the D that showed up in El Paso shows up at HOD we'll give up 5 bills on the ground, easy. Best be gettin their minds right.

Ehh not true.  Option football is primarily man schemes, with some gap assignments depending on run pressures,. what UTEP did was zone stuff and gap assignments.  But I am sure you knew that. ??

Of course I knew that. HS coaches act as if understanding football is a difficult task. It's not. At all. 

If the D puts out the same EFFORT and TENACITY at HOD as they did in El Paso we're going to lose badly.

This is, sadly, how things work these days.  And it isn't limited to sports.  ONE person says something and it turns into:

"Liberals (or conservatives) are losing their minds over this..."

or

"(Insert a movement or group) is disrespecting  America (or women, or minorities, or whatever)" 

or

"(Insert school) fans are the worst in the country"  

 

It is so much easier, and lazier, to  categorize whole groups of people than it is to know them individually.  I've done it.

Silliest thing ever, every team that plays their school song after the game could claim lack of respect from the other team.  I doubt Army needs anymore motivation than the score of the first game.
