Is it best to call Apogee to purchase or go to meangreensports & purchase through Ticket Master ??

go through the mean green tkt office.  better stats on who we brought to the game.....ticket master just means you are another buyer without affiliation.   Let's get all the credit we can

I do have the phone number , just was confused if on meangreensports website going through there would give credit to UNT but will call the direct line to order, plus the free tail gate will be worth it !! Will that be inside like last HoD game?

I would think it would be inside.  They should print the Game Day itinerary soon.

Yes, buying through our website is just like buying over the phone.

In fact when you call the ticket office, the automated message actually will direct you to buy online when the lines are too busy.

This game started in 2011, and the first 3 matchups saw increases in attendance.

Starting in 2013 (our game vs. UNLV), each year has seen a drastic (~8-10K) drop in attendance.  In 2013 over 48K people watched OSU take on Purdue.  The most recent game was barely 20K for Wash St  vs. Southern Miss.

What's the deal? Not to be a Debbie Downer, but does this have anything to do with the presence of CUSA, or lack thereof?

Pretty easy to explain when you look at who got invited.

  • 2011: 40,121 Texas Tech vs NW... guess who brought the most fans?
  • 2012: 46,817 Houston vs Penn St... Texas team and PSU travels anywhere.
  • 2013: 48,313 Oklahoma St vs Purdue... Take any excuse to get out of Oklahoma.
  • 2014: 38,380 North Texas vs UNLV... pretty impressive when UNLV had more people on the field than in the stands.
  • 2015: 31,297 LaTech vs Illinois... Again, good showing by an area school when the visitors brought no one.
  • 2016: 20,229 Washington vs USM.. UW brought no one, and USM performed pretty well for what is a long haul for them.

NW, Purdue, and Washington proved to the bowl committee that a P5 is not guaranteed to bring in a ton of fans from far away.  That is why they wanted us, and why we need to show up this game.
