Well, there you go.
So much for those of you hoping this was a temporary thing and he could work his way back.

It's mind-boggling how good, G5-level, WR recruits in Texas are not falling all over themselves to come here.   Chances for immediate playing time due to lack of quality depth in a system that is going to let you rack up a ton of stats.

Whatever he did must not have been too bad if he already found a team willing to take him. Unless Art Briles is coaching at SFA now.

wouldn't count on that. Coaches can overlook a lot if they think they can get a good player.

It doesn't necessarily say that he was given a spot on the team, unless I just misread. It says he is planning to enroll there. Anything beyond that seems like speculation on our part.

We've had a number of folks leave the program and say they were enrolling somewhere, never to actually be seen on any rosters or fields again.

He's from Carthage...it puts him back close to home.

Exactly.  And, assuming he plays football for the 'Jacks, chances are he'll do very well at SFA.

But I'll be honest, it pisses me off when we sign a top recruit and for whatever the reason it doesn't work out.  How many other highly recruited wide receivers do we have in the pipeline for next year?

I wish him the best. He did some good things with us but sometimes circumstances don't work out. I'm glad he will be close to Carthage and hope that he continues to root for us and his Carthage teammate O'Keeron Rutherford.

Brings up a good question.  Has Rutherford play much this year?  Seems like he's a permanent redshirt, or not good enough to play.  He might even transfer to SFA. Then what?

We really seem to have a problem recruiting quality players to UNT, and I suspect it's lack of a recruiting budget equal, at the very least, to the competition were recruiting against.

Rutherford will sink or swim. Those two have played together since peewee ball.  I think Rutherford has all the tools In the world to succeed time to find out if he's going to put it all together.

Rutherford was a throw in deal in order to get Goree, as I understand it. Hopefully, he'll see his opportunity to make his own mark and step up.

I hope Littrell and staff can reverse that trend starting with this class. The HOD bowl should help.

Judging by their tweets, it seems Jeffrey Wilson and several other players are pissed at coaches for dismissing Goree.

I want to know what Tee did and judge for myself if it was a good call. Why hasn't it got out what he did? He is an adult and a public figure who was benefiting from our donations to the school with a free education and playing football in front of thousands of people.

He broke team rules? Well, were he and Willie Robinson up past curfew having a pillow fight? Did he pull a Cougar McBride? Or did he murder a hooker like Craig James? Our most talented receiver is gone. Why?

If the top-rated recruit on the roster of any P5 school got kicked off the team by the new coach, you can bet everyone who followed the program would know why. Judging from the player reactions it might not have been fair to Tee. I don't know...

When coaches make rules you have to abide by them. The rules were set  in stone from day one. This wasn't a first offense. The coaches have to stand by there word. Whether its the star quarterback or the back up punter. In this case it was a well recruited WR that hasn't really set the world on fire and a juco walk on. I don't think either are irreplaceable. Don't get me wrong I think Tee would have been a great C-USA number 2 wr. But he wasnt ready to be a number one go to guy. He is still young i figure he will be a beast at SFA by his SR year. I believe they will be replaced before Feb 1st. The teammates may be upset because they lost a teammate and brother they went to battle with. But also gained respect for the coaches for keeping there word.
