I am sending out a request to every local media person I can think of to start promoting this in their news cast.  This is/could be a huge sports story here in DFW  UNT playing in a Bowl vs Army  That is big.  The whole turn-around from last year...everybody loves a good turn-around story.  We made a Bowl based not only from on field performance, but mostly on academics.  If we can get the local press to hear our voices, maybe they will use their voice!  We need for the 25th largest school in the US to get more than a casual mention in sports from time to time....We should have a segment in every cycle!!!!!  Please reach out today, tomorrow.......GMG!!!!  we are +200K strong in DFW....let's act like it!!!!!! #GLM

Rebecca Lopez at WFAA-TV is 'one of us'...contact her, too.

Good find. I didn't know that she was also a UNT alum. Who else (if any) is a UNT alum at the other DFW TV stations?

This afternoon, on ESPN radio - Dallas, Steve Dennis said that he really likes North Texas being in this bowl.  And how they were one of the few 5-7 teams to get in to a bowl game and how excited the team will be to play in a bowl game.  He said he is excited for this program and for this coach.  He and Tim Cowlishaw then went on to say that it was just a few years ago that Penn State was in the HOD Bowl during a time of rebuilding.  Nothing but positive comments about UNT being in this bowl!

I would love the city to promote the opportunity to celebrate first responders and show support for the Blue, Fire, Medics...In addition the charitable angle regarding supporting food banks I believe is one that got two tickets sold for me.  The name truly reflects all that is great about the Heart of Dallas!
