2 players selected...   Don't forget first team all conference punter Eric Keena!

We also have two C-USA All-Freshman squad members as well, Mason Fine and LaDarius Hamilton

Congrats to all of our players!

Hamilton with English next year could be dominating! Congrats to all! GMG

With injuries... your anti-Wilson bias is showing again.

says he played 10 games and had a 5.7 ypc.  Don't try and twist it.  We don't have players on the first team because there isn't anyone that beats out other players stats from other teams.  It's as simple as that.  Everyone knew that UTEP's RB was going to be 1st up.  Wilson is a middle of the pack RB in CUSA.

He played well, but you're right. C-USA was loaded at RB this year. Hopefully Wilson can stay healthy next year and lead the pack.

Geez, you'll never get over him not signing an autograph for you, will you?

was AAUNT the one leading the charge this spring/summer regarding Wyche having a much better year than Wilson?  Maybe not, but this thread is reminding me this fallacy had a lot of traction.
Regarding Wilson being left off, it's hard to look at these other guys' stats and put Wilson ahead of them.   Lots of great RBs/WRs in this league.
Doesn't diminish Wilson as a player though.

That was me for sure. Watched his tape and of course he was talked about every single day in practice.  That obviously didn't pan out.

Some of you might be taking this the wrong way.....it's not that I am saying that Wilson isn't a good RB but moreso that there are plenty of guys making names for themselves in CUSA at the RB position so we shouldn't make him sound like the second coming of Lance.

Wilson is a middle of the pack RB in CUSA.

Before his injury, he was in the middle of leading scorers not named Lamar in the nation and battling everyone else in the conference stat-wise.

While this style of offense is conducive to Wilson's success and playmaking ability (ranked 32nd in rushing isoPPP - explosiveness), the offensive line is not (one of the worst adjusted line yards in FBS at 111).

This gets so old... I root for both teams. Actually had an Eagle but the mods changed it, probably to facilitate instigation. It's not a dig, I thought I read that on here awhile back and wonder, in context of the thread, if that is the reason for not seeing awards. I don't take digs, I follow scoreboard. Everything else is b.s.

He does at times have issues with ball security. It's not a reason he didn't make All CUSA though. He didn't make it because he's not a top 3 back in this conference. When healthy for a full season (not sure that will ever happen given his track record) he may squeeze into top 5 conversation, maybe top 3. His issue is his health.

I never heard that. What's wrong with his health? It's not serious is it?

Is he better than UTEP or WKU back? Those two stuck out in my mind as top backs.

Not a medical condition per say. Just constantly getting dinged up. He can't stay "healthy."

He had minor knee surgery, if there is a minor surgery, late in the year.

Eric Keena is a Mean Green legend in my mind. I will never forget his fake punt that kept an eventual touchdown drive alive against Marshall and finally got the crowd into it! I still believe he won us that game (despite that BS taunting penalty of course)!

There were many good back in the C-USA this season.

I think with us, you really have to combine Wilson and Ivery.  Put their numbers together and you have:

238 rushes, 1345 yards, 5.6 a carry, 19 TDs
48 catches, 374 yards, 7.8 per catch, 2 more TDs

1719 yards from scrimmage and 21 TDs

Excellent numbers, but still behind the one-man shows of Aaron Jones (UTEP) and I'Tavius Mathers (MT); and, roughly equal to what Anthony Wales (WKU) and Ito Smith (USM) did on their own.

We should be happy and thankful enough that both are going to be back next year.

"Air Raid" or not, those two guys did carry much of the load on offense...and, we needed that with the inexperience at QB.  Could be in the same situation at QB/WR again next year, so...three cheers for Wilson and Ivery having another year of eligibility remaining!

By the way, that RB coach is the holdover, Tommy Perry.  Nice decision by Littrell to keep that guy on board.  Also, run game coordinator was Brad Davis.  He's not getting enough kudos for the run game being ready.

Not surprising inasmuch as Perry and Davis have many years more coaching experience at this level than Harrell and Filani.

Makes you wonder how much better it could have been had Littrell chosen more experienced guys to coach his WRs, QBs, and coordinate the offense...although, I think Littrell held Harrell's hand quite a bit with playcalling, truth be told.
